Be conscientious and make a reservation after you have a definite date, time and numbers. If finalising the details will take time, advise there may be a change and confirm up until when such changes are possible.

Note that the が is omitted from the standard phrase 時間がかかる. This is a common contraction - が is often omitted from many standard が phrases. Separately, が can be replaced with の to turn the phrase into an adjective, and that can’t be omitted.
