Grammar detail: からといって
My current mastery of this grammar:
phrase X
+ からといって
+ phrase Y
means Just because X, then phrase Y
It would typically be used in a situation where phrase Y describes something that might be unexpected given the context of X. For example:
だからといって means the same thing, but would be used to begin a sentence, where the prior sentence has provided the context. In other words:
sentence X
. だからといって
+ phrase Y
The いって comes from 言う, so it can be written 言って, but it is more commonly written in kana.
