だから
means 'because'. Like other words for because such as それで, it can be used to begin a sentence, meaning 'So ...' or 'Therefore ...':
だから
かれ
はい
っていった

So he went in.
だから can also be used to join two clauses:
これ
じゅうよう
重要
から
じぶん
自分
しょり
処理
して
ください
Since this is important, I'd like you to attend to it yourself.
Like other words for because such as ので, it can be used to end a sentence:
これ
さいご
最後
から
This is the last time.
だから is formed by joining the copula だ and the particle から. As a result it is not uncommon to see ですから, replacing だ with the more polite です.
だから is often used as part of the set phrase だからといって, meaning 'just because ...'. For example:
だからといって
いぎ
異議
あるわけない
Not that I have any objection.
