When placed after a number plus suitable counter, も adds the implication that the number was large, or excessive.
This is a very common form, and a suitable English translation depends on the context - it could be 'many times', 'time and time again', 'a number of times', or 'as many as' etc. Sometimes the も is not specifically translated, but left as an implication that the number of times was large.
