しょうち
is commonly used in the following situations:
  • しょうち
    ですか do you know? do you understand?
In this context, is a formal expression for 'know'. It is more or less interchangeable with the equally formal ご
ぞん
じですか, or less formally
かりますか or
っていますか.
  • X はなにかごですか do you know what X really is?
This is a set expression used in rhetorical questions such as this.
  • いたしました understood!
In this context, is similar to
りょうかい
しました, and means 'got it!'.
