It is up to you to decide whether we will go there or not.
or
both indicate the result of the decision.
is more common, for example:
かのじょ

する
こと
めた

She decided to study abroad.
carries the additional implication that the decision made is 'definitive' one, ie important or not likely to be changed:

月曜日

かいごう
会合
められた

Monday was appointed as the day for the next meeting.
