A more advanced usage of よう is to express the idea of a way to do something. The form is:
verb stem
+
よう
For example:
しよう ➜ way to do
いいよう➜ way to say
It is often used in combination with the ending がない, to indicate there was no way, option or other approach. It is important to note the distinction between the English definition 'way to do something' that applies to both this usage of よう and verb stem + かた. Please see the link for verb + stem かた。
