Thank you for using Kanshudo! Our goal is to speed you on the road to kanji mastery, and our hope is that this site becomes a valuable daily resource for you on your journey. Use of this site is governed by the following terms and conditions, and continued use of the site constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Usage

Kanshudo is for the personal or group study of Japanese. No other use of the system is allowed without the express permission of Kanshudo.

Copyright

All kanji mnemonics are copyright Kanshudo and Jonathan Kirk, and must not be used in whole or in part for any purpose other than for your personal study of the kanji. Kanji mnemonics may not be copied, downloaded from the site, or reproduced in any way.
Kanshudo includes data from many sources, including freely available and commercial sources, as well as a large amount of data we have developed ourselves. Unless otherwise noted, all collections, kanji and word usefulness data, grammar reference articles, and other data used around the site are copyright Kanshudo. Kanshudo data may not be downloaded, scraped, distributed, copied or used outside Kanshudo except for personal study without the express permission of Kanshudo.
Most of our data is available to license, and we offer bulk export and custom formatting services. Please contact support if you are interested.

Email

We require a valid non-disposable email address for all users. We will never 'spam' you, but we require a way to reach you with account notifications. We reserve the right to remove your account if our emails to you repeatedly bounce or are flagged as spam.

Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel your account at any time at our discretion if we believe you are misusing the site.

Dispute resolution

If a dispute arises, our goal is to provide you with a neutral and cost effective means to resolve it quickly. Most disputes can be resolved informally. In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that all claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement are to be settled by binding arbitration in the state of California.
