Topic Lesson: Small Talk

INTERMEDIATE
Small talk can be tricky to navigate in any language. In Japan, the weather is a common starter for small talk. In this lesson we introduce some words and phrases to talk about the weather. In two of the lesson dialogues learn the way in which small talk can start out with some commenting on the weather, and the language structures that are common in such exchanges as well as some less predictable structures.
We introduce some N2 and N1 words in this lesson. These words are useful to learn so that you can easily engage with a broader range of small talk about the weather.
