め is an archaic sentence ending particle used to express conjecture.

Just as it is not easy for the muddy inlet to clear up, it is not easy for us to live together. But I will at least somehow see your faint reflection on the water.
In this example, we start with the archaic reading of
かた
し (which in modern Japanese would be
むずか
しい). This becomes
かた
からず (not difficult), which with the addition of め becomes
かた
からめ (shouldn’t be difficult).
