Considered to have derived from (temporary; borrow), the kyujitai form of (temporary). (temporary; borrow) had the meaning 'borrow' as well as 'temporary'. The modern form (temporary) retains only the meaning 'temporary' (not 'borrow'), and 叚 retains only the meaning 'borrow' (not 'temporary'). Since this is not a common Joyo component (only used in (free time)), we use the components to create our mnemonic.
