person + に + verb て form + もらう
means to have a person do something for you or on your behalf.In English this construction may simply be translated (using the example above) as 'Tanaka-san read a book to me', but the もらう conveys the additional sense that you benefited from the reading, or brought the situation about.
The humble form of もらう is いただく.
