verb て form
+
もいいです
means
You may ~; It's okay to ~
〜てもいい (です) is used to give permission.
For example:
なか
てもいい
です
You can look inside.
べてもいい
です
You may eat.
よ is often said at the end of the sentence to emphasize that something is allowed. It usually makes the sentence sound more friendly.
わたし
バイク
って
いいです
You can have a ride on my motorcycle.
いつでも
わたし
でんわ
電話
していいです
You may call me anytime.
その
あと
てもいい
です
You can come after that.
〜てもいい (です) can be thought of as the combination of the ても form (the て form with も, which means 'even if I do ~') and いい (good, OK). So it literally means 'even if I do ~, it's OK' - in other words, it's OK to do ~.
Simply adding か to 〜てもいいですか turns the phrase to politely ask permission.
For more detail about asking permission, see: verb て form + もいいですか  may I ~; is it okay to ~
Notes:
  • In colloquial speech, the も may be omitted (ていい)
  • てもよい is a direct alternative, but somewhat less common
  • In polite speech, the alternative てもよろしい is often used. In written form, よろしい may be written as
    よろ
    しい
